Who we are
This website is run by Asa Menjivar, doing business as Aperture & Co., 161 Creekwood, Spring Branch, TX 78070. You can reach us at menjivarasa@gmail.com or (210) 910-9896. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Aperture & Co.
What we collect, and how
When you request a consultation
The "Request a consultation" form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the ZIP code of the home, whether you are the homeowner or reaching out for the homeowner, what you're interested in, how many openings, your timeline, and an optional message. It can also include the screen or awning you built in our studio. When you press "Send request", these details are sent over HTTPS to a Google Apps Script program in our Google account, which saves them in a private spreadsheet and emails them to us. It may also send you an email confirming we received your request. Google's handling of it is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
We read each request personally. If it looks like a fit, we email you a private link to book a short phone call through Google Calendar, where Google asks for your name and email address. If it doesn't, we let you know by email.
When you call, text or email us
We receive whatever you share, such as your name, number, address and details about your windows or patio.
When you browse the site
The site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking. Two service providers handle standard technical information to deliver the page:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and processes your IP address and browser details to serve pages and protect against attacks.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, so Google receives your IP address when the fonts load.
Choices you make in the studio and the fabric explorer stay in your browser and are not saved or sent.
Why we use it
- To review your request, reply to it by email, phone call or text message, and schedule and carry out your consultation.
- To prepare a quote, measure, order and install your screens or shades.
- To answer your questions and follow up on your project.
- To keep the business records the law requires, such as invoices and tax records.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who receives it
- Our team: Asa Menjivar and David, who handle consultations and installation.
- Google, which runs our email, calendar, and the spreadsheet where requests are saved.
- Our phone carrier, which carries calls and texts.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
- Our supply partner and the product manufacturer, only the details needed to order and deliver your product (for example, your name, sizes and a delivery address).
- Anyone the law requires us to share it with.
How long we keep it
We keep consultation requests and project records for 24 months after your last project, or longer where tax or warranty records require it. Requests that don't turn into a project are deleted after 12 months.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting menjivarasa@gmail.com or (210) 910-9896. We'll respond within 30 days. We may keep records we're legally required to keep.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Information you send us lives in our Google account and phone, which we protect with two-step verification.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on their homes. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above.
